APPROPIATION OF ART

‘‘ARTIGAS” deals with the processes of referentiality and appropriation in art. The piece is an intervention on a collage of stairs by Francisco Artigas - the Mexican architect of the 50's whose work is based on the reinterpretation of references. The mural translates the three-dimensional language of Artigas to a two-dimensional one, under the same reinterpretative principle, extending the architectural work by appropriation.
